Facts
:
1. The appellant, an ex-employee of the respondent, has grievances
regarding service matters. He has asked for information about the manner in
which his complaint has been examined by the officials of the respondent. The
PIO has replied with which the appellant is not satisfied. Hence, this complaint
before the Commission.
Decision:
2. An information seeker is expected to ask for information as per section 2
(f) and (j) of the Act, which requires that the information should be available in
any material form. The appellant is accordingly advised to seek inspection of
the entire records containing the information asked for by him. Upon inspection
of records, he should identify and specify the required information which should
be furnished as per the provisions of the Act. The PIO is directed to allow
inspection of available documents on a date and time convenient to both the
parties within 15 days from the date of issue of this decision.
