FACTS
:
By his letter of 14.5.2008, the appellant had requested for merit list
of candidates as selected for NDA, IMA and TES for the courses
commencing from January, 2008. The CPIO had responded to it vide letter
dated 4.7.2008 stating that merit list of NDA and IMA was available on
their web portal www.upsc.gov.in and that of TES on Army Portal
www.indianarmy.gov.in. The Appellate Authority had affirmed the
decision of CPIO vide order dated 5.9.2008.
2. In the appeal filed before the Commission, the appellant has taken
the following ground :-
“……………. it strengthens our say that AHQ may not have sent
call letters to all the candidates who are recommended by various
selection centres.”
3. The matter was called for hearing on 15.10.2009. Appellant not
present. The public authority is represented by the officers named above.
It is the say of Brig. Ved Prakash that the call letters in respect of the above
mentioned 03 courses were sent to all the selected and medically fit
candidates as per the merit list and, therefore, the suspicion of the appellant
has no basis whatsoever.
DECISION
4. As mentioned above, the list of the selected candidates has been put
on the websites referred to above. The appellant is not present before the
Commission to buttress his case. It is also not his case that any personal
detriment has been caused to him. In this view of the matter, the appeal
has no merit and is dismissed.
