Facts

:

1. The appellant has asked for information relating to transportation of
petroleum products by the contractors, regularisation of services of casual
labourers and payment of EPF to the workers. The CPIO and the Appellate
Authority have duly replied and furnished the information asked for, on the basis
of available records. Being not satisfied with the responses, the appellant has
pleaded for providing complete information.

2. During the hearing, the CPIO stated that the appellant has certain
grievances regarding missed opportunity for business and employment with the
contractors. In the garb of seeking information, the appellant has raised issues
that pertain to redressal of his grievances.

Decision:

3. An information seeker is required to seek information as per section 2(f)
and (j) of the Act. The appellant is accordingly advised. In the instant appeal,
the appellant has asked for information in the form of various queries, which are
covered under at least 21 points. Even though the CPIO and the Appellate
Authority have replied on the basis of available records, he seems to be
unsatisfied.

4. The appellant is, therefore, advised to seek inspection of the relevant
documents, so as to specify the required information which should be furnished
to him. On the basis of the information thus acquired, he should seek legal relief
since there are no provisions under the Act for redressal of grievances.
