Decision No.4706/IC(A)/2009
F. No.CIC/MA/A/2009/000680
Dated, the 13th November, 2009
Name of the Appellant: Shri. P.V.S. Prabhakara Murty
Name of the Public Authority: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited
i
Decision:
1.
The case was scheduled for hearing on 11/11/2009. But, the appellant did
not avail of the opportunity of hearing. The appeal is, therefore, examined on
merit.
2. On perusal of the documents submitted by the appellant, it is observed
that he has asked for information relating to VRS. The CPIO and the Appellate
Authority have duly replied and furnished the information on the basis of
available records. It is not clear as to which information has been refused to the
appellant.
3. Since the appellant has not responded to the notice for hearing and that
he has not indicated as to which information, as per section 2(f) of the Act, has
been refused to him, this appeal is considered unnecessary.
4. The appellant is however, advised to seek inspection of the relevant
documents so as to clearly specify the required information. The CPIO should

allow inspection of the records within 15 working days from the date of issue of
this decision.
5. Both the parties should mutually decide a convenient date and time for
inspection of the relevant records.
6. The appellant is thus disposed of.
