       The Appellant was not present.

       On behalf of the Respondent the following were present:-
       (i)       Shri Ved Prakash, ACP/NDD,
       (ii)      Smt. Usha Chopra, W/SI.


2. In this case, the Appellant had, in his application dated November 19,
2007, requested the CPIO for a number of information ranging from the
power of the police to conduct enquiry before registering a FIR in cognizible
cases to number of cases registered in Delhi under the Copyright Act, 1957
further to the steps being taken to sensitise the local police in dealing with
applications under Section 156(3) of the Cr P C. The CPIO replied on
December 20, 2007 and observed that the Appellant had not sought any
specific information within the meaning of Section 2(f) of the Right to
Information (RTI) Act. Not satisfied with this reply, the Appellant had
approached the first Appellate Authority on January 1, 2008 which that
Authority disposed off in his order dated February 1, 2008. He directed the
CPIO to provide point wise relevant information for the years 2006 and
2007. The CPIO complied with the directions of the Appellate Authority and
provided some information. The Appellant has, in even then, come before

the CIC in second appeal praying for a direction to the CPIO to provide the
desired information and also to impose penalty on him for not giving the
information at the beginning.

3. The Appellant was not present in spite of notice. The Respondent was
present and submitted that part of the information, as available, had
already been provided to the Appellant as per the direction of the Appellate
Authority. We carefully examined the information provided and noted that
the CPIO could have provided some more information in respect of the
remaining queries. Therefore, we direct the CPIO to provide to the
Appellant within 10 working days from the receipt of this order, specific
information in respect of queries (b), (e), and (g) of his application dated
November 19, 2007.

4. With the above direction, the appeal is disposed off.

5. Copies of this order be given free of cost to the parties.
