FACTS

By his letter of 07/04/2007, the Appellant had requested for information about the
funds spent on the plantation, irrigation system and other facilities in the BB Block Park
located in Janakpuri area. CPIO had responded to him vide his letter dated 25/06/2007.
2. Aggrieved with the reply received from the CPIO, the Appellant had filed first
Appeal before Shri D.D. Sharma, CE(HQ), DDA, who dismissed the Appeal vide letter
dated 03/06/2008, upholding the decision of the CPIO.
3. Hence, the present Appeal.
4. The matter was heard on 08/04/2009. The Appellant along with Shri Amarjeet
Singh appeared before the Commission. The DDA is represented by the officers named
above. It is the submission of the Appellant that the information provided to him is
factually incorrect. It is also his submission that even though certain amounts are shown
to have been spent on various facilities in the park, but little amount has actually been
spent. According to him, the lighting system and irrigation system in the park is
inadequate/deficient and walking track is full of pot-holes on which it is not possible to
smoothly walk.
5. Shri Nim assures the Commission that he would personally visit the park within
three weeks time, study the problems along with the Appellant and try to take remedial
steps for improving the facilities in the park.
DECISION
6. In view of the above, Shri Nim is hereby directed to pay a visit to the park along
with his assistants and take remedial steps in concert with the Appellant.
7. The matter is disposed of subject to the above directions.
