Facts

:

1. The complaint was scheduled for hearing on 19/3/2009. But, the
complainant did not avail of this opportunity.

2. On perusal of the documents submitted by the appellant, it is observed
that the complainant along with others had submitted a representation in
September 2008 to the respondent. Through his RTI application, he has asked
for action taken report on his representation. In his complaint before the
Commission, he has alleged that the CPIO and the Appellate Authority of the
respondent have not replied and furnished the information asked for under the
provisions of the RTI Act. He has, therefore, pleaded for providing the
information asked for by him.

Decision:

3. The CPIO of the respondent is directed to furnish the information asked
for, mainly the action taken report on his representation dated September 15,
2008 on the basis of available records within 15 working days from the date of
issue of this decision, failing which penalty proceedings u/s 20(1) of the Act
would be initiated.

4. The appellant is advised to re-submit a copy of the representation to the
CPIO for his ready reference at the earliest, so as to enable the CPIO to suitably
respond to his RTI application.
