Facts

By his letter dated 24.6.2008, the appellant had requested for
information in a format in respect of Diary No. from 56995 to 57660 & Diary
No. from 58000 to 60977. This information was sought in respect of FSO-21,
Budh Vihar, Delhi, in respect of persons having annual income of less than
Rs. 1 lac.

2. Vide letter dated 8.8.2008, the PIO had refused to provid this
information on the ground of inadequacy of resources and the information not
being maintained in the format in which it had been sought. However, the
Appellate Authority vide order dated 28.8.2008 had directed Asst.
Commissioner (North-West) (PIO), to provide photo-copies of the register
maintained in this regard

3. In the appeal dated 24.11.2008 filed before this Commission, the
appellant has alleged that the requisite information has not been provided to
him despite lapse of two months since the appellate order and that whatever
information has been sent to him that is inadequate and the documents are not
legible. In short, he has complained of non-compliance of appellate order on
the above grounds.

4. The matter was initially fixed up for hearing on 8.5.2009 but the
appellant and the PIO did not appear before the Commission. Hence, the
matter was adjourned to 21.5.2009.

5. As scheduled, the matter was heard on 21.5.2009. The appellant, again,
has not appeared before the Commission. The public authority is represented
by the officer named above. It is the submission of Shri Barthwal that
whatever information was available with the Circle Office has been provided
to him and nothing has been held back. It is also his submission that he has no
objection to providing fresh legible copies of the documents to the appellant.

DECISION

6. The appellant is hereby authorised to carry out the inspection of the
relevant records in the office of FSO-21, Budh Vihar, New Delhi. Shri
Barthwal is also directed to provide fresh legible copies of the documents to
him.

7. The order of the Commission may be complied in 03 weeks time.
