Background
1. The applicant filed a RTI application dt.19.3.09 with the PIO, DRM Office, North
Western Railway, Jaipur seeking the rule by which his PF advance has been stopped.
The PIO replied on 20.4.09 enclosing the reply dt.16.4.09 furnished by DFM stating
that no such rule as sought by the Applicant exists. Not satisfied with the reply,
applicant filed an appeal dt.4.5.09 with the Appellate Authority reiterating his request
for the information. The Appellate Authority replied on 3.6.09 enclosing the grounds
for which PF advance can be taken.
Being aggrieved with the reply, THE Applicant filed a second appeal dt.5.6.09 before
CIC.
2. The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner, scheduled the hearing
on February 11, 2010.
3. Shri Vijay Singh, PIO represented the Public Authority.
4. The Appellant was not present during the hearing.
Decision
5. Shri Vijay Singh submitted that the PF advance was sanctioned to the Appellant
around Sept.2009 and also produced a letter dt.10.2.10 addressed to the Commission
by the Appellant expressing his satisfaction about the information provided and
requesting that the case be treated as closed.
6. In view of the above, the case is closed at Commission’s end.
