ORDER
Shri Sudharshan Kumar Sharma, Maha Mritunjai Sadan, House No. 1676,
Sector-10, Housing Board Colony, Ambala City has preferred an appeal before the
Central Information Commission (CIC) against the first Appellate Authority. The
brief facts of the case are as under:-
2. Shri Sudharshan Kumar Sharma Approached the designated CPIO of
Western Command for certain information as per the proforma enclosed with his
letter dated 30.01.2007. The information was provided to him by the CPIO vide
his letter dated 15.02.2007 regarding the local recruitment of civilian motor
drivers. As regards the recruitment of Class-IV staff, he was informed that the
information may be obtained from the CPIO of Chief Engineer Zone.
3. As the information supplied was incomplete due to the reasons stated in
the Appellant’s letter dated 05.03.2007, he approached the First Appellate
Authority to furnish the complete information. The First Appellate Authority did
not respond to the appeal filed by Shri Sharma.
4. Since the matter had not been heard by the FAA, the case is, therefore,
remanded to the First Appellate Authority to reconsider the case and pass a
reasoned order after giving the Appellant another chance to present his case
within 10 working days of the receipt of this letter. If any information cannot be
provided, cogent reasons for the same may be indicated under intimation to Shri
Vijay Bhalla, Assit. Registrar of this Commission.
5. The appeal is thus disposed off. Copies of this order be given free of cost to
the parties.
