FACTS
:
By his RTI application dated 22.07.2008, the appellant had requested for
information on 06 paras relating to the State-wise procurement of food grains by
the Govt. of India during the last 03 years; State-wise storage capacity and the
damage caused to the food grains due to rain fall and other factors etc.
Dissatisfied with the information provided to him, he has filed the present appeal
before the Commission.
2. Heard on 28.8.2009. Appellant not present. The public authority is
represented by the officers named above. During the hearing the FCI officers
would submit that information on all the paras has been provided to the
Appellant, Division-wise. I have perused the information furnished to the
appellant in bits and pieces due to which it is not possible to have an over view of
the matter. It is, therefore, necessary to consolidate this information.
DECISION
3. In view of the above, Shri B.K. Phillips, DGM (Procurement) is hereby
directed to consolidate the information, year-wise, and State-wise and send the
same to the appellant, with a copy thereof to the Commission. It would be
advisable to communicate this information in terms of million tones for easy
understandability.
