         BY THE COURT

This writ petition, filed as back as on 19.07.2006,

questioning the rate of interest charged by the bank towards a

loan advanced whereto the petitioner stood as surety, has

remained pending for all this time on the defects side.

However, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that

the petitioner does not want to proceed with this writ petition

any further and seeks permission to withdraw. Permission

granted.

This writ petition stands dismissed as withdrawn.
