2. The Appellant did not turn up in the Bhopal studio of the NIC. The
Respondent was present there and made his submissions.
3. The Appellant had sought a number of information regarding the account
number 7035. Although the CPIO had provided the desired information, the
Appellant had pointed out that the CPIO’s claim that the account had not been
closed was wrong. During the hearing, the Respondent explained that,
technically, the account was still alive though with a zero balance, the

proceedings of the account having been transferred to another account of the
Appellant. If this is so, the bank should have clearly explained this to the
Appellant.
4. We direct the CPIO to write to the Appellant within 10 working days of
receiving this order and to explain to her about the current status of the account
number 7035 and to send a copy of the relevant records showing that the
account was still alive.
5. The appeal is disposed off accordingly.
6. Copies of this order be given free of cost to the parties.
