Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing
Counsel.
The petitioner is claiming salary on the post of Head Mistress on
which it is alleged that she is officiating after the retirement of the
outgoing Head Mistress. In the counter affidavit it is stated that the
petitioner’s promotion has not been approved by the District Social
Welfare Officer.
It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that a similarly
situate person, who is junior to the petitioner has also been
promoted as Head Master in another school and is getting salary.
In the counter affidavit it is stated that his promotion and payment
of salary was approved by the District Samaj Kalyan Adhikari.
This writ petition is accordingly disposed of with directions that
the District Samaj Kalyan Adhikari to consider the matter of
approval of the petitioner’s promotion to the post of Head Mistress.
The required consideration shall be made within six weeks from
the date this order is produced before him.
