MADAM SPEAKER: Hon. Members, in a tragic incident in Bageshwar, Uttrakhand at least 18 children, all about ten years old died on 18th August, 2010 after a landslide triggered by a cloudburst struck a primary school building. Thirty students and two teachers were reportedly in the school building at the time of the incident. The House expresses its profound sorrow on the loss of lives and property due to this tragedy.
The House may now stand in silence in the memory of those who lost their lives in this tragic incident.
