                               O.P. No.15784 of 2002

                                        JUDGMENT

C.N.Ramachandran Nair, J.

The O.P. was filed for direction to the Government to grant sanction

for the Plus Two course in the aided sector. The application originally filed

in 1998 and rejected was directed to be reconsidered by this court. In any

case an application for sanction for the Higher Secondary course has to be

approved with reference to the current norms and policy of the Government.

Moreover, subsequent changes such as availability of students and other

educational institutions in the area, also may be relevant. In the

circumstances, we close this O.P. leaving freedom to the petitioner to make

an application for sanction for the next year. If any such application is

made, there will be direction to the Government to consider it and pass

orders based on current norms and policy of the Government.
