Notice on behalf of the respondent no. 1, has been accepted by the learned
Chief Standing Counsel, on behalf of respondent no. 2, by Sri D.K.
Upadhyaya, Sri Shishir Jain has accepted notice on behalf of respondent no. 3
and notice on behalf of respondent no. 4, has been accepted by Sri S.P.
Shukla.
With the consent of parties’ counsel, we dispose of the writ petition finally at
the admission stage.
The petitioner institution applied for grant of affiliation for additional intake
of 100 seats in B.Ed. course for academic session 2010-2011, but despite
formalities being completed and the report of the University being submitted
to the State Government, the State Government has not taken any decision as
yet.
We, therefore, direct that the State Government shall take an appropriate
decision with respect to grant of affiliation to the petitioner institution for
running B.Ed. course, within a maximum period of three weeks from the date
of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
It is further provided that in case the affiliation is granted to the petitioner
institution, it shall be allowed to participate in any subsequent counselling if
any such counselling is held, after the ongoing counselling is over.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
