                         J U D G M E N T

The prayer sought for in this writ petition is against Ext.P4

judgment of the STAT. In Ext.P4, it was stated that when the

case was called, counsel for the appellant was absent and that

the appeal memo has not been amended and the appeal was

dismissed.

2. Though initially, I was inclined to consider the request

of the counsel for yet another opportunity, what I notice is that

Ext.P4 order is dated 16th of April, 2007 and the writ petition is

filed only now. There is absolutely no explanation forthcoming

for the delay involved.

For these reasons, I am not inclined to interfere with the

judgment. Writ petition is dismissed.
