Pius C. Kuriakose J.,

The issue raised by the Government in this appeal is covered

in favour of the Government by the common judgment in L.A.A.

No. 2413 of 2008 series. Following the judgment we allow the

appeal and revise the market value of the land at Rs.14,00,000/- per

Are.

2. The respondents however will be entitled to statutory

benefits admissible under Section 23(2), 23(1A) and 28 of the Land

Acquisition Act. However the interest under Section 28 will be

calculated from the date of dispossession and not from the date of

award. Parties are directed to suffer their respective cost.
