Raman, J.

This petition is suo motu initiated against the letter

of the Retired District and Sessions Judge, who was appointed by

this Court to oversee the opening and counting of Bhandarams

belonging to Valiyalukkal Bhagavathy Temple situated at

Kanimangalam and Vattappinny Bhagavathy Temple at

Panamukku, reporting that Sri.Radhakrishna Kurup, who was the

President of the temple passed away and the system that was

followed hitherto was to handover the same to Radhakrishna

Kurup, after counting the same. This letter was numbered as

DBP.No.51 of 2009. We give notice to the Cochin Devaswom

Board.

2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the

Cochin Devaswom Board, on instructions, submits that another

person by name, Murali, Devaswom Officer, Mazhuvam

Devaswom, has been appointed as the new President. If so, the

Cochin Devaswom Board may in writing inform the retired District

and Sessions Judge of the said appointment, whereupon the

amounts in the Bandarams will be handed over to the trustee

against receipt to be issued.

3. Copy of this order shall be communicated to the

Retired District and Sessions Judge, Sree Bhavan, Vadakke

Warriam, Mulayam, P.O.Ayyappankavu, Via., Nadathara,

Thrissur.

D.B.P. is disposed of as above.
