J U D G M E N T
Heard Mr.G.Prabhakaran, learned counsel for the
petitioner and Sri.P.N.Santhosh, learned Government
Pleader.
2. By Exhibit-P1 the 1st respondent rejected the
application filed by the petitioner for a regular permit to
operate on the route Pattanthuruthu-Kundara. On an
appeal by Exhibit-P2, the State Transport Appellate
Tribunal directed the 1st respondent to grant the regular
permit applied for the petitioner. Petitioner’s grievance
relates to delay on the part of the 1st respondent to take
further consequential action.
3. First respondent is bound to comply with the
directions in Exhibit-P2 judgment. There is no
justification in adjourning the proceedings after the
receipt of the judgment from the Appellate Tribunal.

4. In the result, the writ petition is disposed of
directing the 1st respondent to proceed further pursuant to
Exhibit-P2 and issue a regular permit subject to settlement
of timings, without further delay, at any rate, within a
period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of
this judgment.
