The petitioners have approached this court for protection of their life
and liberty and also seeking an advance notice of 7 days in case they are sought to
be arrested in any case registered on account of matrimonial dispute between
petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 6. Apprehension of arrest is there on account of
the fact that father of the girl is a Deputy Superintendent of Police in Punjab
Police.
The marriage of petitioner no. 1 was solemnised with respondent no.
6 on 24.10.2004, but due to differences, both are residing separate since the end of
year 2007. Presently a complaint filed by respondent no. 4, father of respondent
no. 6, against the petitioners is under investigation. As far as the joining of the
petitioners in investigation being carried out on the complaint of respondent no. 4
is concerned, no exception can be taken to the same, however, it is directed that in
case after investigation any case is registered on account of matrimonial dispute
between petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 6, and the petitioners are sought to be
arrested therein, three days advance notice be given to them before their arrest.
