Prayer: This petition has been filed seeking for a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the respondents relating to the impugned orders in the form of letters from the 4th respondent, all bearing reference R.C.No.119/1985 dated 19.11.2010, 2.12.2010 and 17.12.2010, quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to forbear themselves from interfering with the peaceful possession and enjoyment of Arulmighu Velliangiri Andavar Devasthanam/Thirukoil, Poondi, Semmedu Post, Coimbatore  641 114, forest land admeasuring 5 acres or       thereabouts close to the top of the Velliangiri hills at Andukulam (now known as Andichunai) and continuing the practice of making inter-alia of construction of halting places for pilgrims and for provision of other facilities to them, regulating the pathway.

Today, when this writ petition was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner had sought the permission of this Court to withdraw the writ petition. He has also made an endorsement to that effect.

2.Based on the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and in view of the endorsement made, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also dismissed.
