This Writ Petition is filed with the following prayer:
“Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or any
other appropriate writ, order or direction
commanding 1st respondent to afford adequate
and effective police protection to petitioner, their
workmen who are ready and willing to work, for
their ingress and egress to and fro the petitioner’s
cinema theatre, “Veeiah Cine House” at
Alappuzha and for its due functioning as to
discharge their duties land works therein.”
In this regard, there is already an interim order dated 31.8.2009 which
reads as follows:
“There will be a direction to the first respondent
to see that the law and order situation shall be
maintained in the premises of the theatre at
Alappuzha, conducted by the petitioner.”
The Writ Petition is disposed of in terms of the above interim order.
