                                                   -----------

19 15.11.2011 The entire matter relates to non-payment of

contribution towards Employees Provident Fund with the

concerned authorities under the provisions of Employees

Provident Fund Act.

When the case has come up for hearing the learned

Standing Counsel for the EPF authority has submitted that certain

recoveries have been made from six Medical Colleges run by the

State Government and still some of the amounts have to be

recovered from them.

Taking note of such submission we are of the view as

some action has been initiated by six Medical Colleges to recover

the EPF, we are hopeful that the action is expedited by the

concerned authorities and recovery of the remaining amount will

be completed on or before 30th June, 2012. It is also hoped that the

State Government may also co-operate with the action of the

authority under the EPF Act and expeditious action be taken to
2

deposit the Provident Fund contributions with the concerned

authorities within the specified time.

We are of the view that the matter can be closed for

the present and if any employee is aggrieved by any inaction of

the State Government we give liberty to such employees to

approach this Court.

With the aforesaid observation this writ petition

stands disposed of .
