Delhi High Court pulled up the DCP ‘West Delhi’ for not taking effective measures to prevent sale of spurious liquor in the Capital’s Dabri area despite several people dying after consuming hooch in May this year.

Justice Kailash Gambhir made these observations while going through an affidavit filed by the West District Police in response to a petition by the father of one of the victims of the liquor tragedy.

Justice Gambhir said the affidavit, stating that several persons were still continuing with the sale of hooch, was shocking and did not shed any light on the measures the local police had taken to deal with those involved.
