A local court has awarded life imprisonment to three members of a family for killing a woman as she was unable to fulfil their dowry demands.
Additional Session Judge L D Solanki yesterday awarded the sentence to the victim’s husband Vijay Mahajan (38), mother-in-law Chandrakala Mahajan (60) and sister-in-law Anita Gupta (37), on the basis of evidence and witnesses produced by the prosecution, a court official said today.

The postmortem report confirmed death due to burn injuries.
