Justice Sanjay Seth sworn in as Chief Justice of MP High Court

BHOPAL: Justice Sanjay Kumar Seth took oath on Wednesday as the Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court. State Governor Anandi Ben Patel administered the oath of office to Justice Seth in a ceremony.

Governor Anandiben Patel administered oath of office in the Raj Bhavan at 10 am in presence of other dignitaries including Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. MP Vivek Tankha, former MP Rameshwar Neekhra, Lokayukta Naresh Kumar Gupta, Chief Information Commissioner K D Khan, Director General of Police V K Singh, judges of courts of the State, senior officers of the departments of law, administration and police, advocates, journalists and dignitaries were present.

The post of Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court was vacant this month, When Justices Seth Hemant Gupta was promoted to the Supreme Court.
