The Supreme Court on Monday granted bail to Nupur Talwarin connection with the May 2008 Aarushi -Hemraj double murder case.
The apex court ordered the Ghaziabad trial court to release Nupur Talwar on bail on September 25.
It asked the CBI to complete examination of all prosecution witnesses by then.
Nupur, a co-accused in the sensational double murders, along with her dentist husband Rajesh Talwar, is currently lodged in Ghaziabad’s Dasna Jail since April 30.
The CBI, during the last hearing, had argued that she could influence witnesses, if granted bail.
A CBI trial court in Ghaziabad has charged the Talwars under sections 302/34 (murder with common intention) and 201 (destruction of evidence with common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
In addition to these, the court charged Rajesh Talwar under section 203 (giving false information in respect of an offence committed) of the IPC.
