In the ongoing court case, actor Armaan Kohli has been given a final opportunity by the Bombay High Court to settle the dues owed to his ex-girlfriend, Neeru Randhawa, who is both an actor and a British citizen. The High Court had previously instructed Kohli to pay Rs 50 lakhs to Randhawa or face the possibility of the court revoking its 2018 order, which resulted in his release from prison.

On Wednesday, Advocate Tareq Sayyed, representing Kohli, appeared before the bench of Justices NW Sambre and RN Laddha, explaining that the actor is making efforts to arrange the money but needs more time to do so. The bench sternly warned Kohli that this would be his last chance to comply with the court’s directive.

The legal battle stems from an incident in 2018 when Randhawa had filed an FIR against Kohli, accusing him of brutally assaulting her, causing severe injuries that required 15 sutures. Following the FIR, Kohli was arrested, but the matter was settled out of court, with Kohli providing Randhawa with a demand draft of Rs 50 lakhs as a full and final settlement. Consequently, the court quashed the FIR, leading to Kohli’s release from prison.

However, as part of the settlement, Randhawa was supposed to receive another Rs 50 lakhs after the legal proceedings concluded. Kohli’s then-lawyer presented two more cheques totaling Rs 50 lakhs, which were signed by Kohli’s brother. Unfortunately, these cheques were dishonored, prompting Randhawa to approach the court once again to reinstate the case against Kohli.

During the recent court proceedings, Advocate Kushal Mor, representing Randhawa, revealed that she had received Rs 20 lakhs, with the remaining Rs 30 lakhs still pending. This disclosure came after Kohli was reprimanded by the court for his failure to meet the terms of the settlement.

Now, with the Bombay High Court granting a final chance to Kohli, the actor must act promptly to fulfill his financial obligations to Randhawa to avoid further legal repercussions.
