VERTICES PARTNERS advises Marico Limited on acquiring majority stake in Cosmix Wellness

27 March, 2026, Mumbai: One of India’s leading legal consulting firms, VERTICES PARTNERS as successfully advised Marico Limited on its acquisition of a majority stake in Cosmix Wellness Private Limited for a consideration of INR 225 crores (approximately USD 24.8 million), underscoring the conglomerate’s mindful decision of expansion in the growing wellness and nutrition market.

The transaction was led by Vinayak Burman along with Partner Vikrant Anand. Associate Managers Nisha Dharod and Nishtha Khandelwal, and Associate Stuti Jain, were also an essential part of the deal in executing the transaction.

Barucha & Partners represented Cosmix Wellness Private Limited wherein the team was led by Partner Swathi Girimaji and supported by Associate Poorna Shree.

As part of the acquisition agreement, Marico Limited has acquired an initial 60 percent stake in Cosmix Wellness, with the remaining 40 percent to be acquired over the next three years. The phased acquisition underscores the long-term association between the two companies, to bolster the brand’s positioning in the health and wellness segment while also helping scale up the reach through the tenure.

Marico’s robust branding efforts, strong distribution network and in-depth know-how of consumer insights will aid Cosmix Wellness’ growth in the space. Together, the companies will focus on building a sustainable and profitable business model in a highly competitive FMCG landscape.
