Grounds for the First Appeal:

Order of the First Appellate Authority (FAA):

The FAA ordered that :

• the management can provide information w.r.t. query no. 2(1), 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 13, 15, 16.
• The information provided by the PIO is in order w.r.t. query no. 2(2)(3), 4, 10, 11.
• Information w.r.t. query no. 1 and 9 should be given by the ALC (C), Madurai after the Appellant deposits
the required fee.

• Information w.r.t. query no. 12, the ALC (C) was advised to take up the matter with the concerned
authorities.

• Information w.r.t. query no. 8 should be referred from Rule 25 of Contract Labour Rules, 1971, and query
no. 12 from sec 10 of CL Act.

The following were present
Appellant: Mr. B Annathurai on video conference from NIC-Tiruneveli Studio;
Respondent: Mr. R. N. Kumar,Public Information Officer & Assistant Labour Commissioner on video conference
from NIC-Madurai Studio;

The PIO has given certain information but the appellant would like to inspect the records and get the
information which he requires. The appellant would like to inspect the records at the PIO’s office in Madurai on
30 September 2010 from 02.00PM onwards.

Decision:

The Appeal is allowed.

The PIO is directed to facilitate an inspection of the relevant records by the appellant
on 30 September 2010 form 02.00PM onwards. The PIO will give attested photocopies of
the records which the appellant wants free of cost upto 300 pages.
This decision is announced in open chamber.

Notice of this decision be given free of cost to the parties.
Any information in compliance with this Order will be provided free of cost as per Section 7(6) of RTI Act.
