Information Sought
The Appellant in reference to UGC National Eligibility Test, Roll No G 176604 (December 2007) and
E 177162 (June 2008), enquired whether any discrimination is made against those who appear for the
NET exams in Hindi and if writing the exams in Hindi results in a candidate getting lower marks as
compared to writing exams in English.

Reply of the PIO
No discrimination is made against any medium of examination. The marks are awarded on the basis of
the answers written.
