Kurian Joseph, J.
Petitioner is present. The alleged detenue Rejani is also
present. Rejani submits that she is not in the illegal custody of
anybody. She is a free person. Her marriage with one Rajesh is
slated to be held on 14th December 2008 and the attempt of the
petitioner is only to harass her.
2. Be that as it may, since Rejani submits that she is a free
person and we are also convinced that the submission is made on
her own free will, she being a mature person aged 24 years, we
find no merit in the writ petition. It is accordingly dismissed.
We direct the parties not to precipitate any issues in this
regard and in the unlikely event of any difficulty being faced
either by the petitioner, Rejani or members of their family, it will

be open to them to approach the third respondent, in which case,
appropriate protection will be granted by the police.
