(MADRAS NORTH): Hon. Speaker, Sir, we have received information just now about the gruesome fire accident at Lord Krishna & Saraswati Nursery School in Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu. More than 100 students have died and injured because of this fire accident. I want to know whether the Government has got any information about this fire accident. I also want to know as to what action the Government would take to avoid recurrence of such fire accidents in future. What relief measures the Government has proposed to initiate? A statement in this regard may be made before the House.
MR. SPEAKER: I am sure the Government would take it up with the State Government. It is a State matter. As it is related to students, I have permitted you to raise the matter.
