Petitioner was a participant in Kathakali Sangeetham in the

District Level Youth Festival in which she has got the 3rd prize with A

grade. It is stated that an appeal was filed and the orders have not

been communicated. Impugning the assessment of performance

the petitioner submits that the judges lacked expertise and that

vitiated their assessment of performance.

2. On instruction, the learned Govt. Pleader submits that all

the judges were from Kalamandalam and were experts in the item

performed by the petitioner. It is also submitted that the first prize

winner had secured 250 marks, the second prize winner 240 marks

and the petitioner, being the 3rd prize winner, had secured 236

marks. It is also submitted that this was the uniform assessment by

all the three judges. In view of the factual situation as above I do

not find any substance in the contentions raised by the petitioner.

Writ petition fails and is dismissed.

ANTONY DOMINIC,

JUDGE
