Background
1. The Applicant filed an RTI application dt.9.5.09 with the PIO, NWR, Jodhpur requesting
for information against 5 points with regard to the engagement of substitutes and
Bungalow peons during the year 2002-2008. The PIO replied on 16.6.09 enclosing the
point wise information dt.10.6.09 furnished by the Sr.DPO. Not satisfied with the
reply, the Applicant filed an appeal dt.29.6.09 with the Appellate Authority seeking
further information about Bungalow Peons including the officers with whom they were
attached. On not receiving any reply from the Appellate Authority, the Applicant filed
a second appeal dt.7.8.09 before CIC.
2. The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner, scheduled the hearing
for January 15, 2010.
3. Shri Ashok Kumar Mehta, APIO/ACM and Shri Ramesh Kumar Sharma, APO
represented the Public Authority.
4. The Appellant was not present during the hearing.
Decision
5. The Respondents submitted that the Appellate Authority had replied on 7.8.09
enclosing the information dt.3.8.09 from the Sr.DPO. The Commission noted that the
Appellant had filed the second appeal on the same day on which his first appeal was
responded to. Since he there is no communication from him after receiving the
information, it seems that he is satisfied with the information. The Commission
accordingly disposes of the appeal.
