Facts
:
1. The case was scheduled for hearing on 27/7/2009. But, the appellant did
not avail of this opportunity. The appeal is therefore examined on merit.
2. The appellant has asked for certain information relating to CBI
investigation in the matter of alleged misappropriation of funds.
3. The CPIO and the Appellate Authority have duly replied and furnished the
information. There is however no denial of information u/s 8(1) of the Act. Yet,
the appellant is not satisfied. Hence, this appeal before the Commission.
Decision:
4. The respondent has furnished the information. The CPIO or the Appellate
Authority has not claimed exemption u/s 8(1) of the Act for denial of any part of
the desired information. The appeal is, therefore, unnecessary.

5. The appellant is, however, free to seek inspection of records and files so
as to satisfy himself with the availability of information. He would be free to
obtain the information as per the provisions of the Act. The CPIO should allow.
With these observations, the appeal is disposed of.
