FACTS
:
By his letter of 11.6.2009, the appellant had requested for
information on 6 paras relating to the works awarded to Shri K.K. Tripathi
by CPWD. Shri R.C. Rangrey, Asstt. PIO, had responded to it vide letter
dated 22.6.2009 stating that the information sought by the appellant was
voluminous. Aggrieved with the decision of Asstt. PIO, the appellant has
filed the present appeal.
2. Heard on 24.12.2009. Appellant not present. CPWD is represented
by Shri Singh. It is the submission of Shri Singh that it is not clear to him
as to whether the appellant is seeking information about Delhi city or for
the entire country. He would also submit that information relating to PWD
is required to be given by PWD which is under the administrative control
of Delhi Government and not CPWD.
DECISION
3. I find merit in the submissions of Shri
Singh. As the appellant is not present before the Commission to clarify the
position, it is decided that information regarding Delhi city alone may be
provided to the appellant. Besides, the appellant may also be informed
that he may seek information from the CPIO of PWD directly.
4. The order of the Commission may be implemented in 04 weeks
time.
