Construction of part of road between Jabalpur
township and Dumna Airport.
It is stated by Shri Nagrath that they have started work to fill
the pots on the road and some of the work have already been
completed and remaining work will be completed immediately. It is
also submitted that the Side Strip work will be completed within a
short period, so that the road will be motorable. So far as
asphalting is concerned, it will be done after October, 2011, because
at present Bitnum plants are not functioning, so it is not possible to
recarpet the aforesaid road.
The aforesaid statement is taken on record.
2. Night Landing facility at Dumna Airport.
It is submitted by Shri Nair that the Director General of Civil
Aviation vide letter dated 7.9.2011 had drawn attention of the
Airports Authority of India in respect of certain deficiencies and on
getting the aforesaid information the Airports Authority of India after
making the deficiencies good has intimated to the Director General
of Civil Aviation on 16.9.2011, vide letter dated 13.9.2011 that all
the deficiencies which were pointed out by the letter dated 7.9.2011
have been made good. Now the Director General of Civil Aviation

has to verify and grant permission for Night Landing Facility at
Jabalpur. It is submitted that as soon as the aforesaid permission is
granted, the Night Landing Facility at Dumna Airport will be started.
Shri Vikram Singh, appearing for Director General of Civil
Aviation submitted that within a period of one week from today the
Director General of Civil Aviation shall take a final decision in respect
of Night Landing facility at Jabalpur.

3. Extension of run way.
It is submitted by Shri Nagrath, that all the particulars, maps,
khasra number, etc., have been furnished to the Airports Authority
of India for taking necessary steps for expansion of Airport at
Dumna.
Shri Nair submitted that only on 16.9.2011 Airports Authority
of India has received the aforesaid letter and it is submitted that
within a period of 10 days Airports Authority of India shall take
necessary steps for sending proposal for making available the land
required for expansion of Airport to the State/Collector, Jabalpur.
