Title : The Minister of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Minister of State in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution laid the statement regarding status of implementation of the recommendations contained in the 18th Report of the Standing Committee on Food, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution on Demand for Grants (2007-08), pertaining to the Department of Food and Public Distribution, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.

 

THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS, FOOD AND PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION (DR. AKHILESH PRASAD SINGH): Sir, on behalf of my senior colleague Shri Sharad Pawar, I beg to lay the statement on the status of implementation of recommendations contained in the Eighteenth Report of Standing Committee on Food, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Department of Food and Public Distribution in pursuance of Rule 389 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Lok Sabha issued by the hon. Speaker, Lok Sabha vide Lok Sabha Bulletin-Part II, dated 1st September, 2004.

The statement indicating the action taken/status of all the recommendations contained in respect of the above report of the Standing Committee on Food, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Department of Food and Public Distribution is annexed separately. These recommendations of the Committee have been examined carefully by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Department of Food and Public Distribution. It may please be noted that the Eighteenth Report contains 43 recommendations out of which 30
