Learned Government Pleader appears for respondents 1

and 2. Notice to respondents 3 and 4 dispensed with preserving

their right to move for review of this judgment, if aggrieved.

The petitioner, claiming promotion to a particular post, has

filed Exts.P1 and P2 before the employer society. It is stated by

him that the qualification has to be determined on the date of

occurrence of vacancy. Anyway, the issue raised is one in

relation to service of the petitioner in a co-operative society. The

4th respondent being the employer has to give its decision on the

request of the petitioner. Therefore, let Exts.P1 and P2 be

decided upon by the society within an outer limit of one month

from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment and a copy of

this writ petition. If the decision is against the interest of the

petitioner, the reasons thereof shall also be stated, so that the

petitioner can pursue appropriate remedies by way of arbitration
