Two persons were sentenced to life imprisonment by a court here in a loot and murder case.
Additional Sessions Judge Chandrodaya Kumar sentenced Sanjay Kumar Pandey and Aqeel Khan to life imprisonment yesterday.
In June 2000, Ejaz Mohammad was shot dead by armed robbers when he was returning home after which his son Azad Ali lodged an FIR, according to the prosecution.
Police arrested six persons in this connection while two accused Fakhruddin and Fareed Khan managed to escape and are still absconding.
The court also sentenced another convict Sanjay Singh to two years in jail but acquitted another accused Tabrez Khan.
