The Appellant had wanted a number of details about the leave sanctioned to a particular employee during a specific period as well as about his attendance in the office. The CPIO had denied the information after consulting the employee concerned under Section 11 of the Right to Information (RTI) Act. The information regarding the leave sanctioned to an employee or his attendance details cannot be classified as thirdparty information in the first place. Therefore, there was no need for the CPIO to consult the said employee before deciding on the disclosure of this information. In view of this, we direct the CPIO to provide to the Appellant within 10 working days from receipt of this order the details about the leave sanctioned to that particular employee during the period mentioned by the Appellant along with the photocopy of the relevant coloumn in the attendance register in which the attendance of the said employee has been recorded during the specified period. 4.
